This smoothie is delicious with lots of flavor, but no added sugar. It gets its sweetness from the banana in it.
It's also great for an upset stomach. The ginger and cinnamon are natural remedies to help with stomach issues and bananas are naturally easy on the stomach.
Grating the ginger. I keep ginger root in my freezer to keep things simple. |
Ingredients:
1 banana
1/3 cup milk
1 tablespoon dried coconut (optional)
1 teaspoon freshly ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
3-4 ice cubes
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in a blender that can crush ice. Blend until smooth. If needed, add another tablespoon of milk if too thick.
Note: The shredded coconut, while yummy, doesn't puree really smooth. If the bits will bother you, leave it out.
2. Serve immediately. This kind of smoothie has a time limit before the ice, that made it thick, melts and just makes your yummy creation watery.
